All vehicle rentals in Dukinfield are governed by a Rental Agreement issued at the time of booking confirmation or vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations for the rental. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle from us requires:
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Dukinfield, you must be at least 21 years of age, although some vehicle categories may have different age requirements, with extra fees applicable for drivers under 25. A full, valid driving license appropriate for the vehicle type is necessary and should have been held for the minimum duration noted in the Rental Agreement. You will need to present valid identification and proof of your current address, along with payment details and a security deposit. Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made on our website, by phone, or in person at our Dukinfield office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT as applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Dukinfield, a thorough inspection is required. Any pre-existing damage should be reported immediately to ensure accurate documentation. Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise details, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Please be aware that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or any other dangerous pursuits. Transporting hazardous materials is also not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. Additionally, the vehicle must not be used for purposes it is not designed for, must adhere to passenger and weight limits, and should not be driven outside agreed geographical boundaries without prior permission.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
Liability Cap
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Dukinfield will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the total amount you paid for the rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
Dukinfield Legal Framework
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be addressed exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
